Emaciated and neglected greyhound presented for racing at Sunderland dog track

Professional ‘trainer’ Malcolm Taylor attached to Sunderland dog track took charge of a black male greyhound – betting name Calzaghe Bucko – in September 2016.

The 3 year old black dog raced three times at Sunderland last year where he clearly sustained an injury but according to information received was recently presented in a neglected and emaciated state for a trial where the ‘vet’ passed the dog ‘fit’ for racing.

Unconfirmed reports claim that Taylor has been suspended by the GBGB. We will be complaining to the GBGB asking why – if the vet passed this dog fit for racing – was the vet also not suspended?
