Tia Greyhound and Lurcher Rescue are desperate to move to larger and more accessible kennels but they need urgent funds to secure a property that is ideal – Holly Bank Farm.

Here are just 5 good reasons from hundreds why they deserve our help to raise that all important funding.

The five dogs – Taxiforponting – Allez la Bleu – Blue Charisma – Droopy’s Talent and Salford Jodi – ran a total of 437 races between and will have earned the bookmakers well over a million pounds in gambles – only to be considered fit for destruction once deemed no longer suitable as a BETTING PRODUCT

As  well as taking greyhounds directly from trainers – Tia also rescue many greyhounds from dog pounds and record those details on their Wall of Shame. Of particular interest is an entry made on 10/11/2010 – Velvet Rebel who was emaciated with open sores and being given away in a free add. Why of particular interest you may ask? During his tortuous career – Velvet Rebel was not only a top class race dog – he was trained by Charles Lister who was recently awarded an OBE for services to greyhound racing and he was also trained by the newly installed CEO of the industry’s Retired Greyhound Trust – Peter Laurie.
